Group Pomodoro timer

A Pomodoro timer you share with your study group

Everyone in the room runs on the same clock. Focus together for 25 minutes, take a break together, and see exactly who's locked in with you.

What you get

Synced to the second

One timer runs on the server, so every screen shows the same countdown, even on a slow connection.

Anyone can drive

Start, pause, skip or reset from any device. Focus flows into a break and back again on its own.

Long breaks built in

25 minutes of focus and 5 minutes of break, with a 15-minute break every 4th round. Group owners can change all three.

Streaks that count

When a focus block ends, everyone in the room gets credit. It lights up your heatmap and keeps your streak alive.

Who's here, and on what

A live list of everyone in the room, with what each person is working on and quick emoji reactions.

Survives restarts

The timer is saved as it runs. If our server restarts mid-session, your countdown picks up where it was.

How it works

Three steps to get going

  1. Open your group's room

Everyone who opens it joins the same live room.

  2. Press start

The 25-minute focus block starts for everyone at once.

  3. Break together

A chime plays, the break starts, and the next round follows on its own.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the Pomodoro technique?

You work in focused blocks (25 minutes by default) separated by short breaks (5 minutes), with a longer break after every few blocks.

Can I change the timer lengths?

Group owners can set the focus length (1 to 120 minutes), the short and long breaks, and how often the long break comes.

What happens if I close the tab?

The timer keeps running for everyone else. You get credit for a focus block if you're in the room when it ends.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. StudyPix runs in the browser on phones, tablets and laptops.
